Wow, He's 9

Last week we celebrated Lawson's 9th birthday. It's amazing to us how big he's getting. Since we've moved to Texas he really seems like he's grown up.
It was so great having grandpa Dennis and grandma Cathy here to celebrate along with the rest of our Texas family. They flew out the day before his birthday and stayed for a long weekend. Grandma Cathy created a treasure hunt for Lawson in which he needed to get into pirate character for and complete in order to get his present. It had him running all over the house, doing crazy stuff in the process. Like every time someone clapped he had to say, "ARGHH".

Saturday we had a party for Lawson at our community pool. It was good weather, 85 I think, but just warm enough to have fun in the pool. Lawson invited a few friends from his class and they all had a great time. They played basketball for a while, had an intense squirt gun fight with papa Dennis and Josh (grandpa really got into it), opened presents, had a cookie cake and busted a pinata. Lawson said it was the best day ever!



Thanks to all the family that came. We really love you guys and glad that you're all in Lawson's life. Being an only child, he struggles sometimes with being lonely, but you all really help him feel loved, confident and that he has some strong supporters in his life.
