One of the many deer that feed on our bushes and grass decided to have a fawn between our neighbor's houses last week. It must have dropped it sometime at night and left it there during the day, which is when we found it. Often deer will hide their newborn in high grass during the day to hide it from predators, then come back and get it at night. One of the construction workers ran across it while painting the neighbor's siding. In this picture you can barely see him hiding at the base of the fence on the left side.

Later that evening we saw the mama come back and get her baby. They disappeared, back into the woods behind our house, after that. It's cool that have all this wildlife around us.
