Sunday night grandma and grandpa MacKenzie invited us over for swimming and dinner. Niki made her famous chicken enchiladas and we spent some time playing in the (very warm) pool. Belle even joined us for the family festivities, minus the pool portion.

After dinner grandpa thought it would be fun to make build a fire and make some s'mores. Lawson lit his first fire (with adult supervision of course). We taught him to stack the wood like a tee-pee for maximum air flow and superior flamage. Once the flames died down we toasted some (s)marshmallows and built some wickedly good s'mores. The only thing missing from the evening was Jenna and Kevin. Lawson was the first to notice our dinner mates absence when during swimming he said, "I wish uncle Kevin was still here, he's fun". It was our first official Texas family dinner without them. Aside from that sad note, it was good times.
