Got Game?

Lawson is about half way in to his first season of Jr. Jazz basketball and I think he's determined that it's his favorite sport to play (with football being a very close second). Lawson knows about half of the kids on his team from school and daycare, while the coach is actually his best friends dad. He's quite the little baller though. Being one of the taller kids and better shooters on the team, he does pretty good. He's developed a couple bad habits (like stopping at half court when he's bringing back a rebound or double dribbling), but we're working on them. He and another little boy are the main defensive unit (agressors) on the team. He's getting pretty good at getting in there and stealing the ball away. Watching Lawson play sports is always fun and with each new challenge he always makes us proud because of how hard he tries. You've gotta love 'em.

#44 - Lawson "The Monkey" Mills

Gettin' the plan! Notice the focus (or lack thereof) on "The Monkey's" face.

"Hmmm, how am I supposed to pass the ball in when this kid is standing in my way...and why is that dude behind me putting his nose on the door?"

Apparently the coach was challenging Lawson to squeeze the air out of the ball.

That went in....

...that did too.

What a shooter. We're proud of our little basketball star!

Could he be any cuter?! I wish I could see him play. What a great little monkey he is! P.S. Love the quotation on the pics by-the-way. You had me laughing pretty hard.
