Karate Kid

Over the last several weeks a local Karate studio has been coming to La Petite three days a week. Lawson and the other kids learned a few offensive and defensive moves as well as some good behaviors they can use at home. After demonstrating some of these skills in front of their parents and reciting the behaviors they learned, the kids took individual turns breaking a board in half with their hands for graduation.


Lawson's strike was so devastating, that he didn't break the board in two, he broke it in THREE. The teacher seemed a little surprised when two pieces stayed in her hands and a third piece came flying at her face. I don't think she had seen that happen too often.


I always tell Niki that she married a Ninja, for some reason she's never believed me. How can she possibly deny it now that she sees her son has such skills?
